How We Package Our Food
We seal our meals using BPA-free vacuum bags. This helps protect freshness, reduce exposure to unwanted chemicals, and keep your food safely sealed during storage and shipping.
Storage Guide (By Food Type)
Rice & Soup Dishes
- These meals can be kept in the freezer for long-term storage.
- If you plan to eat them soon, store them in the refrigerator.
- If still sealed in the vacuum bag, they can last up to 1–2 weeks in the fridge.
Swallows / Staples (Kenkey, Pounded Yam, Semolina, etc.)
- Store these in the refrigerator.
- You do not need to freeze them.
Sauces
- Refrigerate sauces as soon as you receive them.
- We do not use preservatives, so sauces are not shelf-stable.
Bread
- Refrigerate bread soon after receiving it (no preservatives).
- You may slice it and warm it briefly before eating.
Pies
- Pies may be stored in the refrigerator if you plan to enjoy them soon.
- If you do not intend to eat them right away, pies can be stored in the freezer.
- Freezing helps maintain freshness so you can enjoy pies later.
